Open electricity risks ‘retailer gatekeeping’

The government can’t make major retailers the gatekeepers of open electricity if it wants consumers to benefit, says an advocate who has observed the problematic Australian regime.
Earlier this week Commerce Minister Andrew Bayly began consultation on the future of open energy as a part of the consumer data rights bill, which also encompasses open banking.
